R.A.'s and G.A.'s - Job Well Done

In May of this year, our R.A.'s and G.A.'s collected money for the Nurse we are supporting at the Malnutrition Center in San Juan, Guatemala.  During their fundraiser named, "Nickels for Nurses", the R.A.'s raised $62.62 and the G.A.'s raised $30.62. Great Job!!
All of this money goes towards supporting our nurse and our 2 year commitment to pay her $6,500 salary.  Other donations towards this fund are being accepted.

Last Day of VBS

Today is the last day of VBS and I'm alittle sad.  We have had a great week with the children and our workers.  The children have been so excited and have learn so much.  Our workers have been great and have had so much enthusiasm that the children have felt it.

Each day we take an offering which is going to the Mission Trip to Guatemala that our church is taking in July.  The children have raised over $500 for this trip.  WOW!  The offering has been boys vs the girls.  I think the girls are winning.  This money will help our mission team touch children in Guatemala.

We have been blessed this year that 8 children have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. 

Tonight (June 21st) at 6pm we will have our Family Night Celebration.  Our children will be sharing what they have learn this week in VBS.  Everyone is invited to attend this special service.  Come and join the fun.

Father's Day

Sunday, June 16^th we will be observing Father’s Day at First Baptist Church in our Morning Worship Service at 11am.

Our Children’s choir will be singing a special song for our father.  Larry Luckey and his two sons will be joining him to sing on this special day.

Special recognition will be given to our Father's on this special day.  Come and join us, this Sunday, June 16th at 11am.

Covered Walk Way

Last year several members asked about a covered walkway from the church to the entrances of the education building.  We posted a blog and announced in our church for needed funds to do this project.  Our Building and Maintenance Committee has learned that it would cost at least $5,000 to do this project.

The only way we could do this project at this time would be if these funds were donated to our "Covered Walkway Fund". 

Special projects are great but our tithes and their pledges towards our Building Fund are also important.  Pray if this is a project, God wants you to give too.  

Summer Giving

As we enter the summer months, most churches experience giving going down and expenses going up.

In the summer months churches are doing so much more to spread the gospel in their community and around the world.  
This summer First Baptist Church LaBelle, will be doing Vacation Bible School, Mission Trip to Guatemala, Youth Camp, G.A.'s Camp, nominating new deacons, teachers, and leaders to serve on committees for the new church year, and much more.

During the summer months, many members go on much needed vacations.  When people are not at church many times they forget to continue their giving during the summer months.  We need you to be faithful during the summer months in your giving.  

Contributions can be mailed to First Baptist Church LaBelle, PO Box 369, LaBelle, FL. 33975.  Bill Pay is another way you can send your tithe or offering to the church.  If you use Bill Pay just set up First Baptist Church LaBelle as one of your bills and you can send weekly, monthly gives and it is all taken care for you.  In the set up you can put if this is tithe or some of type of offering.  We have several members who use this option with their bank.
