Last year we collected a special offering for our 100th Anniversary and we used this money to pay back bonds that would mature in 2032. This year we will collect a special offering and our goal is $13,000 which will save us over $61,065.66 dollars in interest payments over the next 20 years. We are asking each member and friends of First Baptist Church LaBelle to consider giving to this special offering on our 101st Anniversary. This will help us pay down our note quicker and save us money in the future.

Pray for Owen
On Thursday, January 10,2013, Owen was placed in Health Park Hospital. Owen's condition with his cold and breathing problems were getting worse. The ex-rays they took that night showed that his Heart was enlarged as well as his liver and that he had fluid around his heart and lungs. He spent the night in PICU and on Friday, Owen went through several test on his heart.
When Owen was born he had three holes in his heart and his kidneys were enlarged. At his six month visit to his heart doctor one of the hole's had closed and his kidneys had become normal sized.
The Doctors felt that the cold was working his heart too hard. Friday evening they started Owen on two heart medicines to help his heart work better. They will check Owen in a month to see if this is helping. The Doctors are hoping that this medicine for his heart will help him gain more weight because he is not growing as fast as they wish. If everything goes as plan he will come home on Saturday, January 12th.
Cathy and I want to thank everyone for your prayers for Owen and his Mom and Dad (Michelle and Aaron). Please continue to pray for Owen as he gets over this cold but let's pray for his little heart and that God would touch it and make it whole.
