Tonight I attended the first session of the Florida Baptist Pastor's Conference held at First Baptist Church Orlando. The theme of the conference this year is "Empowered". Tonight our two speakers were Dennis Swanberg and Mac Brunson.
Dennis Swanberg is known as, "American's Minister of Encouragement" and he has a reputation for instilling hope in people from all walks of life. He brought an message through humor and teaching God's principles found in Joshua 1.
Mac Brunson is the pastor of First Baptist Church, Jacksonville, He holds degree's from Furman University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He brought a well thought out message from the book of Hebrews. He talked about, Is There Any Hope". He talked about how we have been blessed through Jesus Christ. This was a very detailed message but a blessing to me.
I'm looking forward to the conference in the morning. We have Jim Henry, Roc Collins and Ted Traylor preaching in the morning. This is such an uplifting time to listen to these men of God.
