To Give Thanks

During the month of November we have selected 4 groups that we want to give thanks to as a church. On each Sunday we will pray for the selected group and give thanks to the Lord!

Sunday, November 6th Workers Within the Church

Sunday, November 13th Veterans and the Military

Sunday, November 20th School Teachers, Administrators and Aides

Sunday, November 27th Law Enforcement, Fire and EMS

If you know individuals who fall into these groups, please invite them to join us for that Sunday, so we can give thanks to them and to the Lord!

Day Light Savings Time Ends

As Sunday November 6 approaches, we welcome the moment to set our clocks back by one hour, since our days are shorter and the nights are getting longer. As a reminder, do not forget to change the batteries in your fire alarms.

During the month of November we will be giving thanks to groups that have provided services for us. On November 6th, we will be giving thanks to all the workers within our church. We are blessed by having so many people who work within our church and we want to pray for them. We will also on November 6th observe the Ordinance of Lord's Supper in Morning Worship Service.

Before you go to bed Saturday night, make sure you move your clocks back one hour so you will be on time for church this Sunday.

Hope to see your smiling face.

From the Pastor

The month of October has been a spectacular time in the life of our church. Our Pumpkin Patch Ministry has been a great success. School age children from our area schools came for field trips to explore the pleasures of the Pumpkin Patch. Special thanks goes out to Vanita Howard and Wanda Fallin for leading this ministry. Special thanks goes out to all of the ladies and men who helped set up and run the Pumpkin Patch on a daily basis. Congrats on the "Corn" maze --This was a good addition to the Pumpkin Patch this year.

October was also Pastor Appreciation Month. I would like to thank every one for the cards, gifts, and prayers we received during this month. Sunday, October 30th we had our Fifth Sunday Supper at 5pm. We had an overwhelming group and more food than we could eat. Our Deacons prepared a special Pastor Appreciation Presentation. Each staff member received a card of appreciation from the church. The Deacons had a wonderful cake made for this special occasion and it was delicious. We also had our evening service in the social hall and it was a special blessing for all.

God has been very good to me and this church this month. I hope we take time to thank him. As we enter November let's continue to be thankful for what God is doing in our life's and our Church.
